Sandstone has been extracted from ASI quarries in Helidon since 1871. Our quarries are famous for this brown, white and lavender stone, available in a vast range of subtle tints and hues, adding natural warmth and colour to any surface.

ASI’s sandstone has earned the reputation of being the very best in the world. Our quarries are situated some 100 kilometres inland, and they yield a very fine grained stone, with a fresh water genesis.

To ensure accuracy, efficiency and economy of production, only the latest and advanced equipment is used in our quarries. The skill of our quarryman, however, is still the most valuable asset to our company. Our highly qualified quarrymasters are able to identify at ease the exact piece of block to extract in order to meet customer demands. Furthermore, regardless of the production volume, quality of our stone is maintained at the highest levels.

As for the future, there are massive reserves of sandstone at our Helidon quarries, ensuring hundreds of years of supply.
